Hawk Sport Helicopter
OS .32 SXH engine, 5 Futaba S3001 servos. Upgraded main
blades to CF reinforced fiberglass. Century Heli's gyro (not
heading hold, but decent) Not including RX or battery,
balances with 2000 mah AA NiMh 4cell pack directly under
the gyro. (when fuel 1/2 full) Chipped "wing" on tailboom,
does not affect flight. Will need new landing skid struts soon,
(appx $20) nearly worn out operating on pavement. Engine
tuned for 15% castor synth blend Powermaster. (same stuff I
use for everything) 30% heli fuel would require retuning or
would burn the engine up. 30% costs $25/gallon and gives
much lower flight time per oz... but would be needed for
advanced aerobatics.
Original costs:
Heli kit $200, Engine $150, Gyro $75, Servos $19 each ($95),
Upgrade blades (2 weeks old) $57
Asking $400
good starter heli, I just can't fly it for beans...
